He released a statement in the Tamil language which says that due to his health condition he has decided not to “start the political party or enter politics.”
The Tamil superstar says that his recent health emergency is a warning given to him by the Lord.
Talking about his health condition, he says that even if Covid-19 vaccines comes, he takes Immuno Suppressant drugs that lower his immune system.
He says that if he stars a political party, he cannot campaign only through social networking sites, digital media, or other means of mass media.
He is of the view that this way he wouldn’t be able to make any change in society and win elections.
However, if he travels and interacts with people, which his entry into politics will mandate, and if his health deteriorates, people who accompany him on this journey will face a lot of problems.
The superstar feels bad for a lot of people who lost their jobs after the movie, 'Annaatthe' for which he was shooting, got postponed due to his health problem. Crores of rupees were lost due to the postponement.
Rajinikanth says that he doesn’t want a similar situation to arise in politics where people who join him will have to face difficulties later on.
He felt sorry that his decision to conceal the launch of a new political party will disappoint his fans.
However, the megastar says that he will do whatever he can to serve the people without going into politics or launching a political party.
