Prime Minister Narendra Modi first reached Kedarnath and then Badrinath on Friday and paid his prayers to Lord Shiva at both places. Following this darshan, he left Badrinath for Mana village, adjacent to the China border where he will address a gathering.
PM reached Kedarnath for the sixth time at 8.30 am. He wore a Himachali cap and a special dress Chola-Dora. The women of Chamba made this dress with their own hands and gifted it to Modi. There is a swastika on the back. They stayed here for about two hours. In a snippet shared by the BJP Leader Manoj Tiwari, Modi can be seen chatting with the daily wage laborers of the area.
Worshiped for about 20 minutes in the sanctum. After this, Adi came to visit Shankaracharya's samadhi. This 12 feet high statue of Adi Shankaracharya weighs 28 tons.
