Actor Shiva Subramaniam no more, dies two months after his son died of Brain Tumor
Actor and screenwriter Siva Subramaniam, who made his on-screen appearance with his powerful role in the film 'Two States' as Alia Bhatt’s father in the movie, passed away late in the night in his Mumbai residence.

As per the sources, his last rites will be performed today in Mumbai. Subramaniam was previously seen in the film 'Meenakshi Sundareswarar', which was released recently. The reason for his demise is yet unknown.
The information about his death has been shared by filmmaker Hansal Mehta. It also included the details of his funeral. According to Hansal Mehta, the last rites of Shiv Kumar Subramaniam will be performed on April 11 at 11 am at Mokshadham Hindu Crematorium.
Filmmaker Bina Sarwar has condoled the death of Shiv Kumar Subramaniam. He paid tribute to the actor on Twitter and revealed that his son Jahaan had died of a brain tumor, two months back. He wrote, 'Very sad news. He passed away just two months after the death of his son Jahan. His son Jahan had a brain tumor. He died before his 16th birthday.”
Apart from 'Two States', Subramaniam also appeared in 'Teen Patti', 'Prahaar', and Rani Mukerji starrer 'Hichki'. He wrote the screenplays for Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 'Parinda' and Sudhir Mishra's film 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi'. Shiv Kumar also worked on the TV show 'Mukti Bandhan'. Shiv Kumar also won the Filmfare Award for Best Story for the film 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi' (2006). Apart from this, he was also given the Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay for 'Parinda'.
