A ray of hope shines as rate of recovery from Covid becomes 98 % across India
While on one hand, the Omnicron variant touched the 400 mark in India, there has been a ray of shine amidst the darkness as the recovery rate in India from Covid touched the mark of 98%, which is till date the highest from March 2020, right when the pandemic took over.
While on one hand, the Omnicron variant touched the 400 mark in India, there has been a ray of shine amidst the darkness as the recovery rate in India from Covid touched the mark of 98%, which is till date the highest from March 2020, right when the pandemic took over. As of now, India has around 415 Omnicron cases, and all the states are tightening their seat belts to ensure that the variant is curbed before it brings the third wave.
India's active caseload currently stands at 77,032 - which is the lowest in 579 days. Active cases account for less than 1 percent of the total cases at present. The weekly positivity rate (0.60%) has been less than 1 percent for the last 41 days. The data has raised hopes for a Covid Free State in the near future.
The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala with 2,605 cases, Maharashtra with 1,410 cases, Tamil Nadu with 597 cases, West Bengal with 550 cases, and Karnataka with 405 cases. A total of 11,12,195 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
