735 new cases in Delhi and 2,946 new cases in Maharashtra, Covid Cases increasing rapidly
In Thane district alone, 543 new cases of corona were reported. In Mumbai alone, 1,803 new cases of corona have been found in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of active cases in the metropolis has increased to 10,889.

On Sunday, 735 new cases of corona were reported in Delhi. According to the news agency ANI, three people also died due to infection in the last 24 hours. With this, the rate of infection has reached 4.94 percent.
Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital due to complications from Covid-19. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that the condition of Sonia Gandhi is stable. She will currently spend the next few days in the hospital. Educational institutions in Tamil Nadu will reopen on Monday after the summer vacations. State Health Minister Ma Subramaniam said that in view of the increase in the cases of infection, the Covid protocol will be followed in the schools. He appealed to the people to follow appropriate COVID-19 behavior in public places, including wearing of masks and maintaining physical distancing.
The positivity rate in the country is 2.71 percent while the weekly infection rate remains at 2.02 percent. The death rate from the pandemic is 1.21 percent. Vaccination is also going on in the country. The vaccination figure has crossed 195 crores. So far more than 195.07 crore doses have been given under the nationwide anti-covid vaccination campaign.
