On death due to corona, a compensation of 50 thousand rupees (grace amount) will be given to the family members. The state government has issued instructions to the collectors in this regard. It states that it is not necessary to record death from Kovid in the death certificate to get compensation. The powers to certify the documents have been given to the committee headed by the collector. This committee will decide in 30 days. The new rules will be in force till December 31.
Let us inform that according to the government records, there have been 10,526 deaths in the state from Corona so far. Apart from this, many people have died due to this epidemic, but it was not mentioned in the certificate. If someone died from Corona here too.
The next of kin of the deceased will have to produce a death certificate for compensation. The state government will give this money from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF). District Disaster Management Authority will distribute the money. The claimant will present the necessary documents and death certificate in front of the concerned authority. Once the documents are produced, they will be verified.
According to the instructions of the government, committees will be formed in every district. It will consist of Additional District Collector, CMHO, District Health Officer or Principal or Medical College Principal or HOD (in case there is a Medical College in the district) and subject expert members.
