This is a first of its kind film festival and Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi addressed it at NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi.
These films have Corona Virus as their theme and they have tried to captures various aspects of the pandemic and create awareness among people.
Covid-19 created an unprecedented situation across the world and it inspired a lot of creative minds to use the theme to spread the social message among the film.
Many experts believe that these messages have a very strong impact on people and often it helps bring change in the social behaviour of people.
Three crucial safeguards against Covid-19 is wearing a mask, maintaining a physical distance from each other, and keeping a practice of hand hygiene.
Naqvi, while addressing a gathering of well-known film personalities, diplomats from many countries, media persons, intellectuals, and other dignitaries said that these short films have played a commendable role to convey strong messages in the society during the crisis.
He said that along with providing entertainment, these short films have made people aware of the problems that the Corona Virus created globally.
He said, “Different channels, be it news channel, entertainment channel, sports or business channel, all played a praiseworthy role regarding spreading awareness among the people regarding the Corona pandemic.”
Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, praised the idea of holding such a unique event and said that it shows that people have immense talent.
