According to information received from the company, an explosion took place at the MPI-1 plant of Gujarat Fluoro Chemical Company located in Ranjitnagar in the early hours of this morning. After this the fire spread rapidly in the plant. However, at this time the number of employees in the plant was small. After the fire, there was an atmosphere of panic in the entire area. Because the plant also has plants of other companies. However, the fire brigade team that reached the spot stopped the fire from spreading.
After the incident, Panchmahal District Police, Collector and SDM had also reached near the plant. Apart from Halol, fire teams have also been called from Kalol and Godhra in case of fire. At present the teams are trying to douse the fire. According to the information received from the fire brigade team, the tines have confined the fire to the plant. At the same time, several tanks of Refran gas were filled in the company and fortunately the fire did not reach these tanks. Otherwise, the explosion in them would have spread the fire to the entire area.
